Our Professional Staff

Michael A. Michelli, Au.D. FAAA
Doctor of Audiology / Owner

Dr. Michael Michelli has been an Audiologist for almost 25 years. He has a Bachelor of Science in Hearing and Speech Science from Ohio University - Athens, Ohio; a Master's Degree in Audiology from Gallaudet University - Washington DC; and a Clinical Doctorate in Audiology from the Arizona School of Health Science - AT Still University.

Dr. Michelli has owned Brandywine Hearing Center since 2010 and worked for the previous owner from 2000 until purchasing the business. He is active in multiple Hearing Healthcare organizations and is a Member of the American Academy of Audiology and the Hearing Society of Maryland, Delaware and DC, where he served two terms as President. He was also appointed to the State of Delaware Licensing Board for the professions of Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology and Hearing Aid Dispensers. The board's duty is to regulate licensed professionals and safeguard consumers. He served on this board for six years and spent two years as President.

Dr. Michelli's wife is a Social Worker and he has two children, a son who is in high school and plays varsity soccer and is an Honor Student and a daughter in 8th grade who plays travel softball as well as basketball and softball for her school and is an Honor Student as well.

Alexis Bastien
Office Manager

Alexis Bastien is our Office Manager and is the friendly face you will see when you walk in our door. She has been with us for over 10 years and handles our administrative tasks. She is also able to assist you at the counter with supplies you may need as well as help with things like changing the wax filter on your hearing aid.

Having grown up in Delaware, Alexis is a graduate of Newark High School. After high school, Alexis attended Goldey-Beacom College, where she was a stand out soccer player. When not at the office, Alexis is busy with raising her daughter, an Honor Student and volleyball player who will soon be in High School, as well as coaching girls youth soccer.
